Question about business

Could a business career be attainable with a philosophy or politics major and a business minor?
I'm currently an undergrad at a liberal arts school. I'm planning on majoring in either politics or philosophy, and a minor in business. After i get my degree, would i be capable of getting hired or nonetheless get an interview with a firm or bank. Also, could a business internship help the situation?

The problem is with the private HMO's, it is still relying on private HMO's, and they have failed, repeatedly. "They'll be more accessible." How? They haven't been accessible for years, and just putting that statement in an Act doesn't give us any other options or recourse against their corrupt practices. How will they force the HMO's to actually be accessible? What accountability do they offer? After all the years of dealing with insurance, I don't expect them to suddenly become ethical and actually make coverage accessible and appropriate. They've proven they won't do that.

And a tax credit doesn't help someone with the premiums as high as they are, especially if someone has a pre-existing condition. Also, medical malpractice is less than 1% of healthcare costs, that's a strawman argument. They are trying to say "better healthcare access" without actually giving us any options to the HMO's, who are the entire problem.

China is really taking this advice to heart. Even now the Chinese government is investing heavily in the African oil and minerals sector, using their expertise to help African countries upgrade their infrastructure (roads, electricity, pipelines etc.), and providing cheap capital for African countries to exploit and grow, thereby making many friends and allies in the process. China is helping them grow, gaining strong geopolitical influence and privileged access to growing markets.

Want me to really start in on the lies the libs tell? STarting from BEFORE ELECTION?

Just because you want to try to make someone sound worse than your village idiot..doesn't mean it is so. FACTS talk for themselves…and you won't find ONE TRUE ONE on the lib side.

Want me to really start listing them? I can't believe what you posted for one second. You have all been found out to exaggerate the truth and twist facts to suit you.

the truth is…the CBO has taken out a commercial and are telling people to beware of hidden costs…what is being told is a lie. CBO…!!!!!!! I do think the libs tell more lies and nothing about the health care reform INSURANCE bill can be trusted.

I LOVE NGOZI FOR WHAT SHE STANDS FOR,BUT IF SHE REALLY IS DIFFERENT FROM ALL THE OTHER CROOKS THERE HAS TO BE SOME OBVIOUS RESULTS FOR WHAT SHE STANDS FOR!WE DON’T NEED ANY MORE TALKS,and I don’t need anymore talks with you,SINCE YOU SEEM NOT TO REALIZE THAT ANY TALK WITH NO RESULT IS OBVIOUSLY CHEAP.GOODLUCK & BYE

The best way to find that out, is to watch their spokespersons speak on the subject.
When their lips are moving, they are lying.

Sorry Mrs Ngozi, you’re well educated, but Nigeria is a s***hole. The corruption is deeper than a black hole. Maybe, just maybe, if Nigeria started with something as little as (um… i don’t know) STABLE ELECTRICITY???

I don’t know how a nation is meant to develop, let alone tackle corruption if the electricity is constantly being switched off on random daily basis. Start with a stable power supply and then i’ll take you seriously.

Your reasoning is fairly weak. Ngozi explained it well and I think a lot of people understand, because I sure did.

What you need to come to terms with is that your views hold extremely little significance here.

1/100th as many as obama and Kathleen Sibelius have told.

No one will be compelled to buy coverage.

No new taxes on employer benefits.

Government can control rising health care costs better than the private sector.

    A public plan won't be a Trojan horse for a single-payer monopoly.

Patients don't have to fear rationing.

Countless. Conservatives never wanted health care reform in the first place, like they never wanted Medicare. The definition of conservative is opposed to change, and there is apparently more money in working for insurance companies than there is in working for the public. It appears that they will do everything they can to water down the bill and then not vote for it anyway, since they can't kill it altogether. The plan seems to be to block the public option so the insurance companies won't have any competition and can continue to raise premiums, causing the number of uninsured to increase. If they require those people who can't afford it now to buy from private insurance companies, as the premiums go up and coverage goes down, they can blame the Democrats, because Conservatives won't even vote for the bill after they have ruined it. The fact that health care reform is President Obama's top priority gives them another unreasonable reason to work to make it fail. If so many people didn't stand to lose so much you could almost feel sorry for the party, which is disintegrating before our eyes and stubbornly goes deeper into the elitism, bitter partisanship, and obstructionist policies that got them into trouble in the first place.

chinnyization, you have brashfully expressed your thoughts (and I dare say without proper reason). I agree with Bladen12345 that your argument is very weak. You obviously have misunderstood Ngozi; she is making a point on the power of foreign direct investment. I am sure that she pointed out that african governments have their failings, but her aim is to illustrate the wisdom of higher FDI as a better means of aiding africa as opposed to ‘Charity Aid’.
