More and more people are looking to get out of a regular nine-to-five job by launching a home based business. While some people view starting a home based business as risky, other people welcome the opportunity to control their income with their own business. Starting a business is exciting, but new business owners should not get so caught up in that excitement that they overlook the process of choosing the best home business that will bring them the income and work they desire.
The hard part about starting your own home business is finding the best home business opportunity for you. An Internet search of the term “home based business opportunity” returns billions of results. It takes time and a little knowledge to separate the fraudulent opportunities from the legitimate ones. Once you have several legitimate opportunities to choose from, you still must narrow down the list to find the one best home business for you. Do not overlook the step of carefully checking out each opportunity because you are so excited and ready to jump into starting your business. You will pay for that mistake later.
Some of the most common best home business opportunities include multi-level marketing, also known as network marketing and relationship marketing. Many people earn a huge income through relationship marketing, but it can be difficult unless you choose an opportunity just starting up. If you start out with a relationship marketing company from the beginning, you set several downlines of marketers in place and can even earn passive income for years to come.
Many people find the best home business involves keeping an inventory and selling their own products online. The downside is that even with a great website, it is difficult to both attract visitors to your website and convince them to buy. With so much competition online, this type of business requires a lot of time and effort. Unfortunately, even with an investment of massive time and effort, it is still often difficult to make money.
When looking for the best home business, look for opportunities on the Internet that provide income without the need for phone calls, meetings, or selling techniques. The best home business opportunities provide turnkey systems for people who are not programmers, web designers, or familiar with the workings of business on the Internet. A business opportunity offering a professional website allows you to spend your time on the workings of your business.
Another aspect of the best home business opportunity is one that provides for online account management that gives you a way to track profits and other business factors. In addition, look for proven sales tools that show you how to sell without having to figure out a marketing plan from scratch. The best home business opportunity will offer you multimedia presentations, brochures, advertisements, flyers, and more. Lastly, the best home business opportunities often provide excellent ongoing training and support.
If you keep this information in mind when looking for a business opportunity, you will make the right decision in choosing the best home business for you.

RUtgers?? My friend goes there. She's take up Liberal Arts. Its not really a question of shoudl you transfer to the answer.. you should be asking yourself the question what do you want to be? Try answering these questions:
-Do you like HTM?
-If Rutgers had offered you before the same package with Umass, which would you have choosen?
-Are you rich? Can you afford to spend another year at school?
-What is your intended career path?
Nobody can really answer these questions for you. It's not a simple yes or no question. There are a lot of factors to be considered and details you really can't say it all in these forums. Hope this will clarify things for you. You're probably smart enough to understand and interpret the answers to your questions. And place importance on things that a stranger may overlook… Luck!!

China is really taking this advice to heart. Even now the Chinese government is investing heavily in the African oil and minerals sector, using their expertise to help African countries upgrade their infrastructure (roads, electricity, pipelines etc.), and providing cheap capital for African countries to exploit and grow, thereby making many friends and allies in the process. China is helping them grow, gaining strong geopolitical influence and privileged access to growing markets.

Go to Rutgers and get the real degree. Either finance or management is highly credible.
Also, take a speech class so you don't come across as badly as you do in this question. Do you realize how many times you used the word "basically" in your question? In your life as an employee and as a manager, you will have to present yourself many times and annoying speech mannerisms can destroy your cred.

Sorry Mrs Ngozi, you’re well educated, but Nigeria is a s***hole. The corruption is deeper than a black hole. Maybe, just maybe, if Nigeria started with something as little as (um… i don’t know) STABLE ELECTRICITY???
I don’t know how a nation is meant to develop, let alone tackle corruption if the electricity is constantly being switched off on random daily basis. Start with a stable power supply and then i’ll take you seriously.

This has been coming up on Yahoo answers frequently lately and the answer is the same:
IT IS A SCAM
YOU WILL LOSE MONEY
IT IS ILLEGAL
IT VIOLATES PAYPAL RULES
Do NOT do it.

Your third option would be to get your Bachelor's in HTM from UMASS and then go after your MBA. It may take an extra two years of school (if you go to Rutgers you are planning for one extra year anyway but with no advanced degree), but in the long run you will have more opportunities with an advanced degree.
Only you can decide which option is best for you. Good luck!

My reasoning may hold very little significance on HERE,but at least people like you are reading it.Whatever you may think might be better, doesn’t change the fact the TALK IS CHEAP!!! I LOVE NGOZI FOR WHAT SHE STANDS FOR,BUT IF SHE REALLY IS DIFFERENT FROM ALL THE OTHER CROOKS THERE HAS TO BE SOME OBVIOUS RESULTS FOR WHAT SHE STANDS FOR!WE DON’T NEED ANY MORE TALKS,and I don’t need anymore talks with you,SINCE YOU SEEM NOT TO REALIZE THAT ANY TALK WITH NO RESULT IS OBVIOUSLY CHEAP.GOODLUCK & BYE

Welcome to life…lol ~ this is how a lot of us feel, so you're not alone. Is the class that is interfering with the job offered online? If so, take it as an online class. The best way to juggle is to make out a written schedule with every task that needs accomplished and give it a time slot. It may sound ridiculous, but I have Sunday-Saturday scheduled to every hour (now, I don't always follow the schedule but at least I know what needs done and when it needs done). I'm a single mom to a son with autism, so we thrive on routine… in addition, I work full-time and attend full-time classes + I have to get my son to and from daycare and occupational therapy, assist him with at-home exercises, supervise and assist with his homework time (generally 60-90 minutes each night), take care of home maintenance (inside and out), pack lunches for the both of us, take him to and from extra-curricular activities, etc… and the list goes on. Throughout the school week I'm up at 6:00 a.m. and generally get to bed at 3:00 a.m. Luckily, on Saturdays and Sundays I can usually get 7 hours of sleep or I'd be close to death by now. It sounds like your chaos will soon be over (if you're a senior), so you won't have to run so ragged for too long. You have to decide your priorities… if you have to take this class but it will cause you to lose your job, then you'll have to see if your job will give you flex-time or you'll need to put in your notice. If the job is your number one priority, then you'll need to drop the class and make it up through an online class, or with summer school. I leave work each day and list my priorities (out loud in the car, people passing by probably think I'm crazy…lol): what absolutely has to be done, what needs to be done, what I'd like to get done, what should get done, and what can wait. The list usually goes like this:
What absolutely has to be done:
dinner, homework for my son, showers, packing lunches, studying for a test (me)
What needs to be done:
dishes (especially if they've piled up), taking out the trash, putting up the laundry, homework for me, my son's at-home exercises
What I'd like to get done:
vacuum, dust, make return phone calls, organize the cds
What should get done:
filing, paying bills
What can wait… everything else that's on the to-do list
*** This really helps me figure out what absolutely has to be done, and what can wait for the next day… or week. Good luck! The craziness will not last forever, you just have to decide what is your absolute priority.

Your reasoning is fairly weak. Ngozi explained it well and I think a lot of people understand, because I sure did.
What you need to come to terms with is that your views hold extremely little significance here.

Very good article you directed me to. I do have to agree with the author of it, Rockwell. If you really want to find an answer you your lead off question, read the book "The Sociopath Next Door" by Martha Stout. You will understand the mind of those in power. I direct you to this book because Mr. Rockwell has his list of 10 lies. Lie #2 is well suited for the book I have suggested. The book is going to cost about $20.00 or less. Last but not least, if you have a desire to understand how the economy works read "The Creature From Jekyll Island" by G.Edward Griffin.
I leave you with 2 quotes, not of my own.
If the American people really knew how the economy works, there would be a revolution before breakfast. = Henry Ford
Democracy is 2 wolfs and a sheep voting on whats for lunch. Benjamin Franklin

chinnyization, you have brashfully expressed your thoughts (and I dare say without proper reason). I agree with Bladen12345 that your argument is very weak. You obviously have misunderstood Ngozi; she is making a point on the power of foreign direct investment. I am sure that she pointed out that african governments have their failings, but her aim is to illustrate the wisdom of higher FDI as a better means of aiding africa as opposed to ‘Charity Aid’.

HTM may have a reputation at UMass for being a joke degree, but that isn't true elsewhere, and it won't hurt you in the long run. My "joke" degree got me into a top-20 MBA program, then the top Ph.D. program in my business field, which I then topped off with a J.D. from the university where I am now a faculty member. It won't hurt you.
My advice would be to finish up. It won't keep you from getting a job anywhere in business – most of my undergrad classmates are no longer working in the industry, but the fact that they had college degrees with training in some of the business basics allowed them to get jobs elsewhere. I would finish, and instead of using the extra year to switch majors, use it (preferably not immediately) to get an MBA.

Transfer. You will regret settling for a career that is not your first choice. An extra year is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Also hospitality management is a long road up with lots of crap-work. Management or finance are much better fields with more opportunities.
I was in a similar situation a couple of years ago. I had a high GPA like you, but couldn't get in to the school of nursing where I was going. I could have transferred, but it would have meant going to school for a couple extra years. I wanted to get married, and my parents wouldn't let me get married without a degree. I studied speech therapy, because I could be done in a year. Things didn't work out with my ex, and now I am stuck with a degree I hate. Looking back the whole thing was really stupid, and I wish I had held out for the degree I wanted.
