Question about business

I'm more of an entrepreneur-minded person and I have look into Business Administration for some time now. I'm more of creative person and I love to challenge new ideas.

I am also looking for a university that offers cheap and reasonable fee and good education with good credibility. I'm currently looking into University of Nebraska but I am also interested in other options.

Online business is a whole different ballgame to traditional ‘offline’ trading, despite the fact that the two share some basic similarities. The sooner you resolve disputes or complaints about your business, the better the relationship you’ll maintain with your customer. Especially for small business owners, this can be a vital lesson should you look to grow and nurture your business.

Another lesson learned from online business that can be transferred into the offline world lies in delivering value. Business owners online are quick to provide their customers with exceptional value and service in a bid to surpass the competition and make a name for themselves in what is essentially the world’s most competitive marketplace. Offline, it’s often all to easy to get wrapped up in the day to day operations side of business, to the neglect of customer relations and quality. By learning this vital lesson from Internet business owners, you can create a more customer-orientated business, which will help nurture long lasting relationships with your clientele.

Likewise business owners on the Internet constantly benchmark and review their models in line with competitors. This in turn helps them to achieve a competitive edge where possible over other providers in the market, and at any rate allows them to understand every step of the way what competitors are up to. This is a good attitude to instil in all business owners, either online or offline, and breeds a better understanding of the market which ultimately affords constant improvement and refinement in the way you do business. All in all, this has the potential to help you create a better business for more long term success.

Doing business on the Internet is different to doing business in any other way. While the fundamentals are the same, there are nevertheless a number of different approaches to business on the Internet which add to customer service, marketing and operations to make for a more rounded, better business.

Critical to starting a business is having the appropriate finance in place, and money alone is the number one reason most – as much as 90% – of business ventures fail during the early start-up period. While management failure does also play a part, it is money that makes any business worthwhile and gets it off the ground. Secondly business franchising is given more priority in funding because there is support available from the parties that have already made a success of the business. Because help is on hand and usually some form of training is provided, there’s no trial and error with a franchise. The franchisees know exactly what to do and how to do when it comes to making a success of the business, which translates into a lower risk proposition and makes them instantly more creditworthy. The only consideration running through a bank manager’s mind is whether or not the business will be able to repay the loan they are offering, and with a business franchising opportunity and the support inherent in that, they find their answer more readily.

Another key reason business franchising received funding preference from banks and other lending institutions is that there is already a degree of goodwill associated with the franchise name. This means that the business franchising opportunity will benefit from the branding and marketing previously invested in by the franchisor, which will give the new business a lift when it opens. Simply because a business has a recognisable identity and has previous goodwill, it is less of a risk and less likely to struggle to find those all important initial paying customers and lenient suppliers.

Business franchising as a business model makes sense, and everybody on all sides of the table are kept happy. For the banks and money lenders, business franchising provides a much lower risk way of investing in businesses, and a much more guaranteed way of earning money on the finance offered. As such, banks are much more willing to invest in franchising opportunities than in other business ventures, making it far easier to raise the necessary capital to start up and survive the initial few years.

A minicab firm is the type of business that looks set to remain strong in 2008 purely because it’s always necessary. People from all walks of life rely on minicab firms for daily transport. What’s more, it’s also more than possible to negotiate contracts with other small business and large business clients in your area, to bring in some steady business and to expand the model.
